Course Regulation & Criteria for Graduation

Total credit hours for degree completion: 128 credit hours, including 28 credits from university-wide required courses, 30 credits from business common required courses, 29credits from professional required courses, and 41 credits from elective courses (including 6 credits abroad).

 The required courses and elective courses are as followed:

Professional required courses

A total of 56 credit hours from the following 19 courses: Introduction to Internet, Introduction To International Business, Management, Accounting(1)(2), Economics(1)(2), Calculus, Statistics(1)(2), Marketing Management, International Economics, Organizational Behavior, Information Management, Financial Management, Business Analytics, Special Topic on International Business, International Business Strategy, International Business Management.

English proficiency elective courses

Select 3 out of the following 5 courses for a total of 9 credits English Listening & Speaking, English For International Business, Reading For Business English, English Translation & Writing, and English For Business Written Communication. Maximum 9 credits can be counted into the graduate credits. These courses are not professional elective courses, and since they are BIBA's courses, so these don't count into the credits from other departments either.

Elective courses

1.      At least 18 credits from professional elective courses. (English proficiency courses are not included) 

2.      Students are required to take at least 6 credits abroad (option for international students). Maximum 24 credits abroad will be admitted, and maximum 6 credits from ESL will be admitted.

3.      Students are required to take at least 9 credits from other departments (non-BIBA courses), and BIBA recommends students to take Program of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Cross-Strait Economic and Trade Program and Elite Internship Program.  Terms of Study: Undergraduate Program : 4-6 Years

 

Annotation

˙Every freshman ( non-native English-speaking students) must go to the Language Center and participate at least 5 times in Tutorial Hours and 3 times in EZ Café Activities. Each attendance must be signed by the activity holder or tutor as proof of participation. If students can’t complete the participation in the 1st year, they have to start participate all over again next year.

 

The criteria for non-native English-speaking students to graduate from this program is IBT 80 or IELTS 6.5 or TOEIC 880. Students with IBT 75-79 or IELTS 6.0 or TOEIC 815-879 must take 3 credits of English language proficiency elective courses. Students with IBT 70-74 or IELTS 5.5 or TOEIC 750-814 must take 6 credits of English language proficiency elective courses. Students with score less than IBT 69 or IELTS 5.0 or TOEIC 749 must take 9 credits of English language proficiency elective courses. A maximum of 9 credits from elective English proficiency courses can be counted toward total credits required for graduation.
